Largest Blackout in US History

A serious of power failures in Northern Ohio caused a cascades of events that resulted in the power being cut off from most of the Northeast. The power began to fail at 4:07 PM August 10th 2003 and within minutes all of the Northeast was without power. It took over 24 hours to restore power to region. Despite the hardship there was very little civil disruptions as New Yorkers and other people of region worked to help each other.
