Sixty Eight- Second Hundred of the Obama Administration July 6, 2009

The President and first lady arrived in Moscow at 1PM. They then went and layed a wreath at the Russian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The President then had a private meeting with President Dmitry Medvedev. That meeting was then expanded to include his staff.

The two Presidents then held a press conference. Transcript.

The two Presidents announced a framework agreeement for dismantling part of both nations nuclear arsenals. Prior to the arrival the Russians agreed to allowing the United States to have overflight rights to supply US troops in Afghanistan. The visit was lowered keyed then Obama's previous overseas visits.

The President and First Lady met with the staff of the embassy in early evening.

The President and First Lady had dinner with President Medvedev and his wife.
