3:30 PM The President met with families of the victims of 9/11 and the bombing of the US Cole. During the meeting the President had an open give and take with the families of the victims.

In the evening the Obama family went to the Kennedy National Center to see the 50th
anniversary performance by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
