Day 267 Obama Administration October 13, 2009

The day was defined by the surprise announcement early in the morning that President Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The decision came as a complete surprise. and many responded by asking what the Presdient had accomplished to deserve the award.

The President began his day with his daily security and economic brieifngs. He then met with his senior advisors.

President Obama then had a meeting witth the Vice President. The President then had a working lunch with President Zapatero of Spain. The two then met with the press.

Later in the afternoon the President met with Senator Evan Bayh and with Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

The Presdient made a public statement on the approval by the Senate Finane Committee of health care reform bill.
